Greek Yogurt Tahini Sauce is my go-to when I’m craving a creamy, lemony dip that pairs super well with veggies, potatoes, chicken, falafel, pita sandwiches and beyond. I love that it’s done in 5 minutes, super delish and also protein-packed. A fun new way to enjoy yogurt!
I mean have you ever seen anything so luacous and creamy?! I served this at my book club with sumac roasted potato wedges, then with grilled chicken, pita, and veg another night, then with shawarma-inspired meatballs another day.
They just make everything better!
The low down on ingredients
- Greek yogurt: A delightful creamy (and high protein!) base for our dip.
- Tahini: Also know as ground sesame paste, it adds amazing flavor and richness. I like Soom brand, or you can find it at Trader Joe’s.
- Extra virgin olive oil: I love the flavor and extra richness olive oil adds. A swirl on top is beautiful, too!
- Lemon juice: I just adore fresh lemon to bring this sauce to life. I’m in “the more the merrier” camp!
- Garlic: For a little flavor zip, fresh garlic always delivers.
- Cumin: This earthy spics really elevates the sauce.
- Salt: Critical to have enough salt to make all the flavors pop.
Let’s make it!
Whisk all ingredients in a mixing bowl (like you mean it!).
Add water to get the desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve with pita and veggies!
How beautiful is she? You’ve gotta let me know if you make it!
